Who Are We?
Our Mission
Welcoming immigrants to a community of education and inspiration leading to opportunities and empowerment.
Services are provided in a holistic manner, so as to address the needs of the body, mind, and spirit. Our hospitality extends to everyone and anyone seeking a safe and inclusive place of gathering where we share our God given gifts and very often, a humble meal. We aim to form an empowered and integrated community in partnership with other immigration stakeholders that are invested in education, social justice, and advocacy. Our actions are based on gospel values and compassion.
The following are the key core values that guide the framework for advancing our mission and vision:
COLLABORATION - Our co-ministers and volunteers collaborate with participants in celebrating cultural strengths and personal gifts.
ACCEPTANCE - Acceptance of self and reverence for the human dignity of others.
EMPOWERMENT - Develop self-confidence and self-worth.
STABILITY - Ensure that the center is a stable, comfortable and trustworthy environment.
ACCOUNTABILITY - Hold each person responsible for his/her commitment and active participation at the Center.
“Everything and anything that we do is to help them (our immigrant brothers and sisters) thrive and successfully integrate into the community. ”
— Cynthia Jasso, Executive Director
